The goal is to address issues such as underdeveloped jaws, skeletal and facial proportions affecting breathing, function and self esteem at an early age to prevent severe problems later in life. Treatment often involves utilizing fixed orthotropic appliances to guide the growth, expand the arches and align the teeth and jaws. By intervening early, the aim would be to achieve more stable and harmonious dental and facial structures, ultimately improving oral health and function of their young patients.
Clear aligners
Sunset dental makes use of clear aligners (KRSTL) which are orthodontic devices used to straighten teeth and correct bite issues without the need of traditional braces. They are made from transparent plastic material and are custom-made to fit snugly over the patient’s teeth. The system works by applying forces on the patients teeth to allow for a gradual movement in the desired position. A series of aligners is made beforehand and customized to the patient’s mouth and must be worn till the final result. The clear aligner tray series is worn progressively as one set of trays is completed, then the next set of trays is ready to be worn. Each patient case is different, therefore treatment length and cost varies.
